Fall Pumpkins

Hello! Sarah here.  So usually discussing anything but Christmas after Thanksgiving is utterly against my rules.  But, what can I say, I'm a rebel.  This fall I went to a store that had the cutest wooden pumpkin decor and I had to have them...but not for 35 bucks... So I showed a picture of them to my friend, Meranda, and some of her mad wood cutting skills later, some sanding, some paint, and some good conversations while doing it, my cute wooden pumpkins were born.  I learned a helpful tip while working on the pumpkins.  To get that awesome antiqued look all you need to do is to get a little bitty dab of brown paint on a baby wipe and wipe all over your pumpkin.  It gives you great control over how much antiquing you want.  I loved the way they turned out.  Did I mention that they were only 10 bucks for a set of three?  Well, they were, and I felt quite accomplished, too.  A natural crafter, I am not, but with guidance I can do things, so I'm grateful for friends and sisters who help me limp along in this crafty world.

Here's one pumpkin that I dragged out of storage as I promptly put away my fall decor to put up our Christmas decorations yesterday.
